Mushroom of the Season
Boletus edulis better known by their Italian name simply as Porcinis (Piglets) are nutty-tasting meaty mushrooms that grow from September to November and shortly from March to April. Called Porcinis for their meaty taste that resembles the tenderness of that of Piglets, Porcinis have a smoky flavor that fills the room when cooked and deepens the flavour of gravies and sauces.

These honeycomb-looking mushrooms are appreciated by chefs from all over the world for their unique flavour. Morels are not ordinary mushrooms; their earthy flavour and elusive texture make for the finest conceivable combination.

The type is popular in Italian cuisine specially if served with olive oil that makes it more aromatic. This valuable tuber started being harvested in Europe from years ago and now are almost collected.
